Students participating in online or hybrid classes can access Academic Advising by phone appointments and email. Distance education students new to Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv are encouraged to schedule a phone appointment to get started.Ìý

The Learning Assistance Center offers help with homework, test preparation, studying and test strategies, and writing consultation. Our Learning Assistants are certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).Ìý

Students who plan to enroll exclusively online may call the Placement Center at 269 927-6173Ìýto arrange remote placement testing. There is typically a small fee charged by the proctoring institution for such services.

The LMC Assessment Center will arrange proctored testing for course exams according to instructors’ specifications. If the exam is taken outside of LMC campus in other institutions, there is typically a small fee charged by the proctoring institution for such services.

Students are responsible for understanding timelines and instructor requirements.

Online students requesting proctored testing need to complete the Distance Education Proctor Agreement form. Please see Distance Education Student Test Proctoring Procedures for guidelines.

Students can access a variety of research services offered by LMC at the William Hessel Library. They can reach the research help desk by phone atÌý(269) 927-8605Ìýor with the Ask-A-Librarian form for questions regarding searching databases or the Online Catalog. The Online Catalog includes print books, eBooks, and DVDs owned by the library. Full-text content of the eBooks can be accessed. Over 100 databases are available that contain information from academic journals, magazines, reports, news sources, videos, and books. Research library guides are tailored to a specific course, subject, or service, e.g., interlibrary loan.

Off-campus access to all library databases is available by logging in with your Wavelink username and password.

The Writing Center is a place for LMC students and staff to get help with their writing. ÌýTrained staff provide individual writing consultations for course assignments and other writing pieces for no additional cost. Ìý

The Teaching & Learning Center (TLC), located in the landing area of the second floor of Todd Center on the Benton Harbor Campus, is a student and faculty resource for help with using technology.Ìý

TLC supports faculty seeing to enhance their skills that support collaborative initiatives, to explore and develop innovative pedagogies and new curricula, and to promote professional development activities that contribute to instructional advancements in technology and excellence in teaching. TLC provides general faculty support for academic technology including LMS administration and Canvas training in both online and face-to-face formats, as well as the promotion of best practices in both face-to-face and online environments.Ìý

Canvas is Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv’s Learning Management System (LMS). Canvas is a cloud-based learning management system that makes teaching and learning easier. Canvas can be used on web browsers, mobile devicesÌýand tablets making it versatile. LMC students can access Canvas from MyLMC pageÌýand clicking on the Canvas logo.
