Alumni Service Award: Gloria Ender
Gloria Ender is president of Freedom Finishing in Benton Harbor. In 2001,听Freedom Finishing was in danger of closing its doors due to overseas competition听and the economic downturn after September 11. Through her perseverance,听Gloria led her company back to prosperity and expansion. Her success has been听acknowledged for four consecutive years by Cornerstone Chamber Services with听several business awards.
In the community, Gloria uses her fluency in English and Spanish as an on-call听volunteer translator with local hospitals and the Benton Township Police Department.听She also assists the Hispanic community through Telemon Corporation and works听with various organizations to distribute food and clothing to families in need. Gloria听is secretary of the Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and听has been part of past Winner鈥檚 Circle Auctions and the LMC Hispanic Advisory听Committee.
Gloria graduated in 1990 from LMC with an Associate in Arts degree and holds a听bachelor鈥檚 degree from Indiana University 鈥 South Bend.
Gloria Ender received an Alumni Service Award in 2006.
