The Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv Athletic Department has been named the 2021-22 Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Academic School of the Year.

Merlin Hanson, a titan of Southwest Michigan industry, died Tuesday, June 21. He was 94 years old. As a community leader, he was instrumental in founding Cornerstone Alliance and supporting Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv, alongside several other causes.

Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv has announced the names of 759 students recognized for academic achievement during the 2022 Spring semester.Ìý

The U.S. Department of Education has awarded Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv a five-year federal Upward Bound grant totaling $1,932,210.Ìý

Two deserving students from Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv’s Start-to-Finish program will be awarded $25,000 each ($50,000 total) in scholarship funds as part of the Jack and Barbara Nicklaus KitchenAid Senior PGA Champions for Change Scholarship Program.

After 2020’s ceremonies were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and 2021 festivities were modified to an outdoor drive-thru event, LMC returned to the Mendel Center Mainstage on Sunday, May 1 for its 75th Commencement.ÌýÌý

Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv's Admissions Department will host an information night on the LMC Promise free tuition program at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, in Room 1304 in the Todd Center on its Benton Harbor Campus, 2755 E. Napier Ave.

The Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv Visual & Performing Arts Department presents the 2021-2022 WAVE Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theatre at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the Mendel Center Mainstage on the Benton Harbor Campus.

Commencement 2022 was the culmination of hard work, dreams and goals for over 400 new Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv graduates.

Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv will host its 75th annual commencement ceremonies at 10 a.m. (Arts & Sciences and General Studies) and 2 p.m. (Career & Workforce and Health Sciences) Sunday, May 1, at The Mendel Center Mainstage on the Benton Harbor Campus, 2755 E. Napier Ave.
