Leslie Navarro is an accomplished higher education leader dedicated to advancing student success, well-being, and equity at Â黨ÐÇ¿Õmv. As Associate Dean of Student Success and Well-Being, she provides strategic and operational leadership for programs and services that foster student persistence, wellness, and academic and personal success. Her portfolio includes oversight of mental health counseling, accessibility services, basic needs programs, student success coaching, TRIO Upward Bound, TRIO Educational Opportunity Center, crisis management, and the CARE Team, as well as multiple MiLeap grant-funded initiatives.

In this role, Leslie ensures integrated, equity-centered support across departments, implements holistic and trauma-informed interventions, and guides institutional strategies that remove barriers to student success. She also supervises and develops department directors, leads data-informed program planning and evaluation, and cultivates partnerships that advance student engagement, wellness, and retention.

Since joining LMC in 2019, Leslie has been instrumental in launching innovative initiatives that enhance student well-being, including food security programs, life coaching services, campus-wide accessibility projects, and proactive student support models through the CARE Team.

A recognized leader in community college mental health, Leslie has served as a founding member of the Mental Health Improvement through Community Colleges (MHICC) advisory board and has co-presented nationally to advance mental health and holistic support for community college students. She has authored multiple successful grants supporting mental health, basic needs, and student success initiatives and is an active participant in professional organizations and community boards.

Leslie holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from Grand Valley State University.
